Voice cloning of your own voice, verified before it exists
IdClone builds an AI voice clone from a 60 second recording of you, after a live check confirms that the voice belongs to the person creating the account. Type a script and get narration in your own voice for training, sales follow-ups, course lessons and product updates, exported as WAV or MP3, in up to 30+ languages.
What AI voice cloning means at IdClone
Voice cloning is the process of training a speech model on recordings of one person so that it can read new text with that person's timbre, pace and accent. Most tools let anyone upload any audio. IdClone works the other way around: the voice in the sample has to be yours, and you prove it before a single model file is created.
The result is a private AI voice clone tied to your account. It reads the scripts you write, keeps the way you pronounce product names once you add them to the pronunciation dictionary, and stays available to you and the teammates you allow. Nobody else can call it, and it is never used to train shared models.
Your own voice only, confirmed by a live selfie check and a spoken consent phrase
Narration from typed text, exported as WAV or MP3
The same voice drives your video clone, so audio and video match
Delete the clone at any time and the model files are removed
How to clone your voice in four steps
The whole setup happens once, in Clone studio, from a laptop or a phone with a decent microphone.
The consent phrase changes every time, so an old recording or a clip pulled from the internet cannot pass. If the voice in the consent recording does not match the sample, no clone is built. Our voice cloning software buyer guide explains why this check matters when you compare products.
- 1Record a 60 second voice sample by reading the on-screen passage in a quiet room
- 2Pass the live selfie check and read the one time consent phrase out loud
- 3IdClone matches the consent recording to the sample and builds your voice clone
- 4Paste a script, pick the pace, listen to the result and export it
Who uses a voice clone of themselves
In each case the speaker is the account owner or a teammate who recorded their own consent from their own invite. You cannot clone a colleague by uploading their old webinar, and you cannot clone a public figure.
Learning and development teams who update compliance and onboarding narration every month without booking the trainer again
Course creators who want every lesson voiced in the same calm tone, including the ones written at midnight
Sales reps who send short audio or video follow-ups that sound like them, not like a stock narrator
Founders and product marketers who voice changelog videos and announcements
Support leads who record explainers in the customer's language with the AI video translator
Getting a clone that sounds like you on a good day
The sample sets the ceiling for quality. A few habits make a clear difference.
- Record in a small, furnished room; soft surfaces absorb echo better than an empty office
- Keep the microphone a hand's width from your mouth and at the same distance for the whole minute
- Read at your normal speaking pace, the one you use on calls, not a radio voice
- Add brand names, acronyms and people's names to the pronunciation dictionary on Pro and above
- Write scripts the way you talk: short sentences, contractions, one idea per line
If you are not happy with the first sample, record a new one. The previous voice clone is replaced and its files are removed.
Clone voice AI with consent on record
Every voice clone in IdClone has a consent record: when the live check ran, which phrase was spoken and which account created the clone. Business and Enterprise plans can export these records for legal and compliance reviews. Every audio and video export can carry content credentials metadata, and video exports can show a visible AI-generated label.
What is not allowed is written plainly in our consent and safety rules: no politicians, public figures or celebrities, no impersonation, no fraud or deception, no adult content and nothing related to identity documents. No identity documents are uploaded or processed at any step.

Questions and answers
Can I clone someone else's voice with IdClone
No. A voice clone is built only from the voice of the person who passes the live check and speaks the consent phrase. A teammate can have a clone in your workspace, but they record their own sample and consent from their own invite.
How long does the voice sample need to be
Sixty seconds of clear speech is enough. You read a passage shown on screen, and the consent phrase is recorded separately during the live check.
Which formats can I export
Narration exports as WAV or MP3. The same voice is used automatically when you render a video of yourself with Script to video.
Does my voice train anyone else's model
No. Your recordings are used only to build and run your own clone. They are never used to train shared models, and deleting the clone removes the model files.
Can my voice clone speak other languages
Yes. Starter covers 10 languages and Pro and above cover 30+. Your voice keeps its character in each language, and you review the translation before anything is rendered.
Hear your own voice read your next script
Write the script you would normally record, see how it splits into scenes and how many minutes it uses, then create your account when you are ready to build your clone. Read how IdClone works for the full setup.
